We went to Les Baux a medieval town with shopping and art galleries. We had issues with a credit card payment for a foundation co at home for one of our rentals, but finally got it resolved. And then to the fake Van Gogh museum. No original Van Goghs but just prints. They did have good audio outlining the life of the prolific painter. We also saw prints as we walked through St Remy hospital where Van Gogh was treated (Torture rather than treatment). after he lopped off his ear. At 7pm we left to find a restaurant. The first one was closed and looked like it had been for years. The second and third one we’re also closed. This lack of restaurants has got to be Covid related. We did have eggs and yogurt at our B&B. Our last resort was a McDonald’s. Yum. We did treat ourselves to a dessert afterwards.

Im drawn to all the beautiful steps here

We enjoyed this  Art Gallery
All abstract painting with the same kind of feel, but nice
Another wall of the gallery

A close up of one of the paintings

Beaux, a Medieval town

Trevuchet weaponry

Red poppies are everywhere

I mean everywhere

They will grow out of rock, but they won’t grow in Texas

A windmill. The roof and blades are gone, but the stone  remains

Of course we have to go to the top

It wasn’t an easy climb

A view from the top of the castle

I love what the erosion and wind has done to the limestone

Van Gogh’s trees

Another view from the top of the castle

Best Salad so far

More top views

The castle had no running water but it did have a cistern
